Mr. 59

October 3, 2017

So we have a new record death toll–59–for a mass shooting. Wow. And by a white guy shooting white people. (WTF? Who does that?)

I learned about this at my New Jersey golf club and I responded by tweet-strafing the mayor of San Juan and playing golf.

The golf connection is important here because for 39 years the best round ever shot on tour was a 59. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

Then, in 2016, Jim Furyk shot a 58. As they say, records are made to be broken.

So I don’t think it’s right to change the technology rules that make it more difficult for future shooters to break the record. That would be so unfair.

Again, it’s like golf. I benefit from the improved technology of Callaway clubs. (Callaway, pay me the $10 million, as we agreed.) I can now hit my Callaway irons 400 Callaway yards.

Eyes on the prize, people, eyes on the prize.
