Impeachment and Golf

Sept. 11, 2017

So I was reading this article about impeachment in the current New York Review of Books—you believe that, don’t you?—and I had this bright idea. The rules of impeachment should be like the rules of golf. It should be an honor system in which you call a penalty on yourself when you break the rules.

The upshot?

No, I didn’t kick that ball to improve my lie. Yes, my drive did go 503 yards and came to rest 5 feet from the hole for a gimme albatross.

Fore!

And now a moment of silence for the Constitution.
